In the orient, fly CAT to Hong Kong - the Mandarin Jet
CAT - Civil Air Transport - was established by the Chinese Nationalists in 1946 to assist
with the civil war effort in China and in 1949 evacuated thousands of refugees to Taiwan. After facing financial difficulties, operations were sold to the CIA in 1950 which ran the airline as a civilian operation and used this as cover for covert operations in East and South East Asia. The airline was eventually disbanded in 1968.
