Shows two views of Yanshan in Hebei Province. In both sections the slopes are alive with activity. One shows a commune and activity in the fields, farmyards and roads all involved with the production and transportation of food. The other section shows what appears to be road building along the mountain edge. Seen on the rock face above the workers there is a reference to the well known fable about the determined man who sought to remove a mountain which reads 'Like the foolish man who removed the mountain, transform China' 愚公移山 which is a famous Chinese idiom about the virtues of perseverance and willpower. Text along the wall of the village, reads "Learn from Dazhai in agriculture. Devote major effort to develop pig farming. Dig deeper holes, store up grains, no competition for supremacy."
