Oscar Mpetha (1909-1994) was a South African trade unionist and political activist. He led the Cape ANC from 1958 until it was banned in 1960, was in and out of jail in the 1970's and 1980's and was returned to jail in 1985 as the oldest ever political prisoner in South Africa (at the age of 76)."--Picture This.
