SWAPO Fights to Liberate Namibia

SWAPO - South West African People's Organisation, was an anti-apartheid guerrilla organisation fighting to remove white South African influence from Namibia (then known as 'South West Africa') in the 1960's to 1980's. The organisation had strong support among left wing politicians and student politics in the UK in the 1980's. SWAPO have been the ruling party in Namibia since independence in 1990.
