山亭文會圖
A Gathering of Literati in a Mountain Bower

A stream cuts through a remote mountain landscape; here and there are scattered dwellings. In the foreground under the shade of some trees is a small pavilion with a gurgling brook nearby. A group of literati is gathering in the pavilion. Two others are walking toward it, while another approaches by boat. In the upper corner is the artist's title for this piece in seal script. There are also two colophons by Emperor Ch‘ien-lung, dated 1759 and 1780.
