Shanghai based cartoonist Friedrich Schiff produced this poster demonstrating the wide range of sporting activities on offer to visitors to Hong Kong in the 1930's, with the lady in the red dress perhaps suggesting there were also other non-sporting activities available for tourist visitors. Many leisure visitors to Hong Kong in the 1930's would have been Western residents of nearby cities and countries, including in particular China, who would travel to Hong Kong for its bright lights, numerous hotels and restaurants and nightlife.
