During the 1980’s Cathay Pacific grew from being a predominantly regional carrier into a global long haul player. Cathay’s first Boeing 747 was delivered in 1979 and flights to London commenced in 1980. The airline’s reliance on its fleet of 747 Jumbo Jets can been seen in this poster advertising campaign from 1988.
