層巖叢樹圖
層巖叢樹圖
Layered Mountains and Dense Woods
An inkwash painting of layered peaks, whose waists are engirdled with dense woods. In between the trees a small path is seen meandering through the forest, from the farthest distance to the foreground, now visible, now hidden. Moving from the foreground toward the back, the inktone becomes increasingly lighter, providing a misty, cloudy atmosphere throughout, so that the spaces enliven the entire picture with a psychic presence. Includes two colophons, one above and one below the painting.
