This postcard depicting a group of girls are learning knitting. One of the girls showing her work to the teacher. The following information is printed on the back of the postcard in Italian "Pia Opera Della S. Infanzia. I. Scopo - Salvare la vita ai bambini idolatri abbandonatti, e procurare loro la grazia del santo Battesimo e dell'educazione cristiana. II. Mezzi. 1. Recitare ogni giorno l'Ave Maria, colla invocazione: Vergine Maria, pregate per noi e per i noveri fanciulli infedeli ; 2. Offrire cinque centesimi ogni mese, ossia sessanta cent, all'anno. Chi offre Lire 100 una sol volta, diventa Associato perpetuo." There is handwriting on the back and with a Italy post stamp of 5 cents.
