始建於1858年，是為中環一帶的華人而設；現時的建築是1939年重建的，樓高四層，2003年停止運作，其後交市區重建局進行保育活化。
This marketplace designated for Chinese was originally built in 1858. The current structure was built in 1939. After the market itself ceased in 2003, the Urban Renewal Authority plans to conduct revitalisation.
