原名中央廣場,1880年代填海而成,1896年放置維多利亞女王銅像,翌年改稱皇后像廣場。香港淪陷期間遭破壞,戰後港府將女王銅像置於維多利亞公園。
Built entirely on reclaimed land in the 1880’s, a statue of Queen Victoria once stood here until the Japanese occupation during World War II. The statue is now in Victoria Park.
