1912年正式成立，是香港第一家大學。本部大樓是重要的學院建築，以文藝復興的花崗柱式承托。
Founded in 1912, University of Hong Kong was the first post-secondary school in Hong Kong. The Main Building was constructed in the Renaissance style.
