明初鄭和下西洋後，此處是西來朝貢船隻停泊
的一個港口，因稱「西貢」，1898年英國租借
新界後設理民府管理。
As one of the ports-of-entry from Zheng He’s return
from his famous sea journeys across the Indian and
Arabian Seas, Sai Kung literally means Western
Tribute.
