Head and shoulders photographic portrait of Griffith John, the noted missionary to China, who served with the London Missionary Society and translated the Bible into Chinese. John (1831 - 1912) was one of the first Christian missionaries to work in central China, in Hubei, Hunan and Sichuan, establishing schools, training colleges and hospitals, and becoming a founding member of the anti opium society. https://www.iberlibro.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=30294164111
