鑽石山並無鑽石礦，或謂山峰形狀似鑽石；附近有個石礦場，出產的石塊礦晶較為晶亮，可能是得名由來。戰後初期這一帶多個木屋區，鳳鳳村是其中之一。
There’s no diamond mine here, but perhaps the name originates from crystals within rocks from a nearby quarry.
