Map of China Prepared For The China Inland Mission (1901)
Shows stations of the China Inland Mission and other Protestant missions distributed in China. Relief shown by shading and spot heights. "Area and population of China Proper" on inside cover, including north and northwest provinces, central and lower provinces, southeast coast provinces and southwest inland provinces. Sources given by The Times gazetteer and The Statesman's year book (1899), detailed population statistics for major provinces are listed, which include area in square miles, population and population per square mile. Area and population data of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and United Kingdom and some European countries, e.g. Norway, Sweden, Belgium, France, German, are provided for comparison. In addition, population of main twenty-six ports, e.g. Canton, Shanghai, are also shown.
